Excitement in the Venezuelan state of La Guaira, as Governor Jose Alejandro Teran declared Monday a holiday after the Tiborones de la Guaira won the Venezuelan league for the first time in 37 years. One of Venezuela’s original great clubs, the Tiburones, was founded in 1962 when the Licoreros del Pampero were sold and rebranded the Tiburones, and this marks their eighth win in that large trajectory. However, The last time they raised the cup was in 1985. USMNT schedule: roster news for Slovenia fixture

The United States Men´s National Team return to action later this month with a friendly against Slovenia . Gregg Berhalter has selected a roster of MLS-based players, with the intention of giving new faces a chance to show their potential. MLS is still in the off-season but the European leagues are still in the midst of their campaigns, meaning that Berhalter has not selected any players from outside the United States . In previous January camps the likes of Brenden Aaronson and Walker Zimmerman have made their first steps into the senior national team squad. This time around young stars like Aziel Jackson (St. Louis City), Diego Luna (Real Salt Lake) and Bernard Kamungo (FC Dallas) may have their first opportunities to play for USMNT.
