Australian Open 2024: When does Coco Gauff play next? Opponent time and date
Coco Gauff, the 2023 US Open champion, has reached the quarterfinals at Melbourne Park 2024 and is currently comPeting in the Australian Open 2024. She is in strong contention for a place in the final. In her next match, she will face Marta Kostyuk in the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament.
Coco put in a solid performance in her previous match, defeating Magdalena Frech from Poland by winning 76% of her first serve points and hitting 21 winners with 19 unforced errors.
Gauff is currently on a winning streak of nine matches and has remained undefeated in 2024. She has also won her 11th consecutive match at the Majors, dating back to her title-winning run at last year’s US Open. The American teenager has not faced a single break point in her last two matches. Gauff displays more consistency in the rallies and makes fewer errors compared to Kostyuk. Out of the eight sets she has played, seven have been won with a score of love, 1, 2, or 3 Games against. So far, her draw has not included any opposing-seeded player.

Kostyuk had been pushed to three sets in all of her previous matches this week, but she put in a commanding performance to defeat Timofeeva. However, to have any chance against Gauff, she will have to maintain this level and improve upon it. The 21-year-old Ukrainian player has struggled to make the quarterfinals, dropping sets in three of her matches.
Nevertheless, she cruised through the round of sixteen, winning 6-2, 6-1 over a qualifier. Kostyuk eliminated Elise Mertens from the draw, but she has yet to face a threat for the title. That will change in the quarterfinals, as many have tipped Gauff for the title.
Gauff and Kostyuk have played only once previously in their careers, with the American player winning 2-1 on sets in a match from Adelaide in the 2022 season.
